Storyboard Text

  • U.S. Pro War Perspective
  • Oh no! Now we must fight them back for the safety of the American people! Send our troops!
  • Mr. President! Our ships in the Gulf of Tonkin have been attacked by the North Vietnamese! What are we going to do?
  • U.S. Pro War Perspective
  • So proud of our troops and their bravery!
  • We are fighting the evils of communism!
  • They are protecting our lives and freedoms!
  • STOP THE WAR!
  • U.S. Anti-War Perspective
  • STOP TAKING LIVES!
  • LEAVE VIETNAM!
  • A government employee has told United States president Lyndon B. Johnson that ships in the gulf have been attacked. Johnson decides to use this as a reason to attack Vietnam to protect the country. North Vietnam is communist  and is trying to spread communism to South Vietnam.
  • U.S. Anti-War Perspective
  • Please stop the drafts! Do not force us into war!
  • Send us back home! People are dying here!
  • Some of the American people support not necessarily the war, but the American government's decision. They believe it is necessary to stop the threats of communism in other countries. They also are proud of the brave American soldiers and think they have to respect what they are doing in Vietnam.
  • Vietnamese Perspective
  • Lets fight using guerrilla warfare!
  • Lets go spread communism in the south!
  • Some of the American people are completely against the U.S. fighting in Vietnam. They fear the loss of people, and do not want people to die. They want the violence to stop. The government and police are kind of against them and their opinions.
  • Vietnamese Perspective
  • The North Vietnamese are coming to spread communism! We must fight back!
  • We do not really know what that is, so we will fight and try and save lives but it probably would not be as good opposed to if we knew what it was.
  • American soldiers are fearful as they serve in Vietnam. They were drafted for the war and desperately want to go back to America. Young people in America are still being drafted and they do not want that for them.
  • The North Vietnamese have the goal of spreading Communism to South Vietnam to make the whole country communist. They are attacking people and they use guerrilla warfare.
  • The South Vietnamese are aware that the North Vietnamese are spreading Communism but do not know how bad it actually is. They are not fighting as much as they should and kind of rely on help from America.
