  • The Treaty of Versailles was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers.
  • D Day
  • Under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, the National Socialist German Workers' Party, or Nazi Party, grew into a mass movement and ruled Germany through totalitarian means from 1933 to 1945. 
  • Holocaust
  • The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory, on the morning of December 7, 1941.

  • The day June 6, 1944 in World War II on which Allied forces invaded northern France by means of beach landings in Normandy.
