Storyboard Text

  • Marilyn Monroe's Adolescence
  • We'll take care of it ma'am.
  • Take her. I don't want responsibility over her.
  • Mommy? Where's dad?
  • Marilyn's Acceptance of her Public Image
  • The Death of Marilyn Monroe
  • Young Norma Jeane was not wanted by her mother who was an aspiring actress. Gladys, Norma's mother, placed Norma Jeane in a foster care system where she moved homes a lot causing her to not have any stability in her childhood.
  • When Monroe rose to fame, she did not mind the type of attention she was receiving because she was finally being told she was beautiful and was given the attention and "love" she craved. She developed a slight personality disorder because of the lack of a father figure in her childhood causing her to look for one in her partners. Many ended up leaving her after some of her "episodes" which lead her to be more depressed and intake more sleeping pills to deal with the pain.
  • Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her room with pill bottles and sedatives scattered all across the bedroom floor. Many believe it was a suicide but certain conspiracies lead others to think otherwise. I chose this scene as significant because Marilyn Monroe was always seen as a "ditzy blonde" or "the girl who had it all" when in reality she was going through many disorders that no one even knew of. Her death opened up a door to many questions and conspiracies that may never be solved but they reminded the public that not everything is as it seems.
