  • The Acadians refused to fight with Britain so their homes were burned and they did this so the Acadians had no reason to return this was also because some British settlers did not come because  farmland was inhabited by Acadians
  • Our home has been burned down because we did not agree to aid the British in the war against the french and so the British are sending us off and our home will be used as farm land   what will we do?
  • Most Acadians were expelled from Acadia and left through ship others remained and were killed by the British and others decided to flee to the first nations since the Acadians had a good relationship with the Mi'qmak people and both had a common enemy in the British \
  • Get them they are not going on the ship with the other Acadians you will either aid us in the war or go on this boat to be expelled from these lands!!
  • Those who had fled and disliked the british had joined the first nations in raids against british settlements and formed a resistance the first nations despised the British and so agreed to aid the Acadians
  • W would like to help you in your raids against the British
  • Do not worry friends we the Mi'qmak will help you create a resistance and we will drive the British back
  • Joseph Broussard is a well known Acadian rebel who is famous for his raid on dartmouth which is also known as the Dartmouth Massacre where he raided the settlement and killed several and burned many homes
  • I am Joseph broussard and we will lead a surprise attack on dartmouth with 60 mi'qmak at night i welcome you to the resistance
  • This scene describes what had happened during the raid on dartmouth 36 homes were burned and 20  british villagers and this sparked the legacy of joseph broussard
  • This was how joseph broussord had led the resistance with the acadian militia and 60 mi'qmak and killed 20 British while they were asleep and burned 36 houses as they ambushed them this led joseph broussard to become a Legendary rebel many acadians admired   him he then went on to lead a group of acadians, french and first nations to defend fort beausejour
