Taxes played a huge role when it came to the French Revolution. During this time the upper-class men were taking a ridiculous amount of money from the peasants and any other person who had to pay. Because of this many people became angry and decided to take action into their own hands.
Estates General meeting/Tennis Court Oath
Due to lack of money and poor harvest supply during the French Revolution, many people were left starving and dying because of hunger. This was another reason for why people went mad and came to the conclusion of horrible actions.
Storming of the Bastille
All of the philosophers were the ones who came up with the rights that people were given. Every right that was made and disliked by the society reflected on the philosopher who made it. Many of the great rights that the people had came from these people.
Women’s March to Versailles
The Tennis court oath was a pledge that the third estate had taken. This meet was held to figure out how the debt was going to be paid off.
Many people were angry with the government. this anger led them into attacking. This is what had caused the beginning of the French Revolution.
Groups of women marched to Versailles demanding to be given bread. Bread was the most eaten food at the time and many fought for it. Then the king agreed to share the bread with them.
