Galileo used to believe in geocentrism, but when he peered into his telescope, he discovered that the world wasn't moving, thus proving heliocentrism. Once he tried to tell others they considered it heresy, and so he was put under house arrest.
Nicolas Copernicus introduced heliocentric belief to the world.
Henry VIII created his own church so he could divorce his wives (the catholic church). The original church did not enjoy this.
Without the revolution, our understanding of gravity and space would most likely not be the same.
