Storyboard Text

  • I am one droplet. But where is the rest of this water coming from?
  • Whoa! I'm floating and rising! This is known as evaporation.
  • I am turning into a cloud. This is called condensation.
  • (Heights are not my favorite)
  • It is crowded in here. This cloud is very full. The droplets are about to escape and fall to the earth. This is called precipitation.
  • wheeee!
  • This is called transpiration.
  • This is how we energize plants. Water from precipitation transports from the roots to the leaves and then evaporates into the atmosphere.
  • Water seeps into the ground. This is called infiltration.
  • ahhhhh!
  • Once water is located on or in the ground, it is now groundwater and will start the cycle again through evaporation.
  • The water from precipitation falls onto the mountain. The water runs off the mountain. This is called runoff.
  • We are slipping!
