We will not allow anyone to use any other currency
1765 - Stamp act
No taxation without representation !
I would like to send out this paper
This is not fair!!!
You must pay a tax first
1766 - Declaratory act
This is madness!!
We don't like this because this could lead to more Acts coming
We will now be able to make laws and create whatever taxes we want
Since the stamp act didn't work we will do this
This Act was started because they did not want American colonies creating there own form of currency which angered many colonies therefor starting the Currency Act
1767 - Townshend Act
I would like to send this to an American colony
You must pay a tax since its going to an American colony
This Act was started when the British needed to pay for the French and Indian War so they thought it would be fine to tax people for newspapers. legal papers, cards, etc..
1768 - Massachusetts Circular Letter
Here's a letter I made
This act was made after the stamp act was finished but his new act made it so that the British Parliament could show authority and make laws binding colonies and they could put taxes on things.
1770 - Boston Massacre
This act put a tax on any goods getting imported to American colonies but American colonies did not like this and thought of it as an abuse of power.
This event was when Samuel Adams wrote a letter that basically was disagreeing with the Townshend act and saying it was unconstitutional. This letter was also approved by the Massachusetts House Of Representatives
The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot. At first it was a fight between American colonist and a lone British soldier but it turned into a deadly slaughter.
