Storyboard Text

  • Photosynthesis
  • What are you doing Johnathan?
  • I'm trying to feed my plant because Ms. Harris told us today in class that plants need food to live! And I don't want my plants to die!
  • Not that kind of food silly! They need a kind of sugar called glucose, and they can make it themselves!
  • Really?
  • The plants catch carbon dioxide and sunlight through the chlorophyll on their leaves and water and nutrients through their roots. Then, all these things combine to make glucose. But, oxygen is left over and it sent back out of the tree and into the atmosphere (which is what we breathe)
  • Yeah! It's a process called Photosynthesis.
  • Photosynthesis is the process a plant takes to make glucose. (What they eat)
  • Photosynthesis?
  • CO2
  • Oxygen
  • Wow! Plants are so cool! I can't even make my own food! But if the plants won't eat this sandwich... I will!
