many homesteaders moved to New Mexico hoping for land and much crops. But they soon found out that they would barely have any water at all. As well as if they needed water they would have to go miles away just to get a few buckets worth of water

people for far and near would come to New Mexico to get jobs and maybe some land for free as well. They would come from far parts of the USA or even from Europe itself. most of the jobs offered were mining and store keeping jobs

With many Boom-towns, people flooded the area for a chance to get some gold and property. Silver City was one of the biggest Boom-towns at the time and is still a boom town to this day. I'ts rich in gold and some silver which attracted many people.

Harvey houses were basically restaurants at train stations to serve hungry train riders. Passengers would eat here and sometimes stay here because back then the food on the train was healthy but disgusting so they came and ate. The Harvey houses were famous for their amazing food and all the workers at Harvey houses were women

Tourism in New Mexico sky rocketed when trains would bring people to stores and they would buy souvenirs. These souvenirs would include Native American rugs and vases. this attracted many people to New Mexico and many people came and they bought stuff.
The old west was a cruel and dangerous crime place. Outlaws around every corner with robberies and wanted posters. Sheriffs always catching the outlaws just for them to escape from prison. It was a cruel and awful time for many which made it very dangerous
