- Lady Macbeth reads to herself a letter she has received from Macbeth. In this letter, Macbeth shared details about the meeting that he has just had with the witches.
- Macbeth is to ambitious. We shall do whatever it takes to get the crown.

- A messenger comes in to see Lady Macbeth to inform her that both Macbeth and King Duncan are on there way to the castle.
- King Duncan is coming.
- Macbeth is riding towards the castle to meet Lady Macbeth. King Duncan is also on his way to the castle.
- Lady Macbeth gives a speech stating all of the things that she is planning to do in order to be able to seize the crown. Lady Macbeth sees her home as a battlefield because this is where King Duncan will die. Lady Macbeth also calls out to the spirits in order for them to unsex her and fill her with cruelty. She also asks that no goodness can enter her and make her feel sorry for the death of King Duncan.
- King Duncan is planning to depart the next day.
- Macbeth and Lady Macbeth discuss the visit that King Duncan will be making.
- Leave the plan up to me for King Duncan will not see tomorrow.
