Your father and Ms Shears are in a relationship. And so were Mr Shears and you mother
Christopher is a 15 year old boy with autism who lives with his father.
Chris, I'm so sorry. I was only trying to protect yo.
Dad is really starting to scare me. I cant trust him
One evening, Chris discovers the murdered body of his neighbor Ms Shears dog. Chris decides he wants to uncover the murderer and write a book about it for a school assignment (the book were reading), even though the police and his dad warns him not to.
So Chris went on with his investigation even after promising his Dad he wouldn't. He investigates the crime scene and interviews residents of his block. While interviewing one lady, Chris learns that his Dad had a affair with Ms Shears (the owner of the slain dog), in response to Chris's mom having a affair with Mr Shears before she dissappeared.
One day Chris's book disappeared. He suspected his dad took it. While looking for it in his Dads room, Chris discovered letters addressed to himself that were from his mom, who his Dad told him was dead. Chris passed out, and when he woke his dad told him everything. How his mom abandoned them for Mr Shears and that he was embarrassed to tell Chris, and how he killed the dog after he and Mrs Shears got in a argument.
Chris decides to sneak out one night and find his Mom. On his journey he overcomes the social fears and limitations of his condition. When Chris arrives his mom was totally surprised and had no idea his Dad was hiding the letters. Mr Shears is not happy Chris showed up, so Chris's Mom decides to leave him and move back to Chris's home town.
Chris and his mom move into a new apartment. Chris's dad really wants to win Chris's trust back. So he visits Chris regularly. He even gives Chris a puppy after his pet rat Toby died.
