Storyboard Text

  • "She was white, and tempted a Negro."
  • "Oh yes, that'd make it her right. It was her right eye, Mr. Finch. I remember now, she was banged up on that side of her face..."
  • "He is, and he's sleeping. Don't wake him up."
  • At the Trial, it was pretty clear that Tom Robinson would get charged. Because of the social terms. And so in this scene, Atticus is saying his last words before Tom is charged with rape.
  • "... confidence that you gentlemen would along with them on the assumption- the evil assumption- that all Negro men are not to be trusted around our women.."
  • Heck Tate not completely believing Bob over Tom because he saw the truth.
  • Atticus doesn't see color, he sees the person for who they truly are.
  • Atticus being devoted to helping Tom even though he knew they weren't going to win.
  • Tom was a mockingbird because he didn't even touch Bob Ewell's daughter and he was guilty at court and he got killed for doing nothing harmful.
  • Boo Radley was a mockingbird because nobody knew who he really was and he is basically innocent like a mockingbird and shows no harm.
