  • Oligarchy
  • A government in which the country is ruled by representatives of the people.
  • Theocracy
  • A government with a single ruler who often holds most of the power (depending on the type of monarchy), who is typically descended from a bloodline.
  • Anarchy
  • A government in which a small group of people hold complete political power.
  • A religious government that recognizes a divine being as ultimate authority. However, theocracies can follow other government forms as well: they just recognize the religious aspect.
  • Essentially a total lack of government. No one has political power.
