the main character is roy. he is a little boy who is always with his bigger brother. he lives with his family but they don't live in a very good neighborhood.
roy and his brother sitting outside on the fire escape of their house. some of roy's friends walk by they tell roy to come play on the rock pile after his mom told him not too.
roy went to the rock pile when his mother wasn't looking. his brother tells him no but he didn't listen. roy got to the rock pile and got hit by a can on his forehead.
roy's mother is super mad at him and blames him for the accident. when his dad gets home he blames his wife. they start arguing over who to blame. his dad finally calms down.
the theme of the story is responsibility. you should always do the right thing and think before you do anything and make sure you ask your parents before making actions. it was an okay theme.
