- I am a member of the third estate, the middle class and working people belong in my estate. We do all the work and pay heavy taxes. We have no say in anything and deal with the tough life without privileges

- (3rd estate representatives) We want reforms for equality. Our people do all the work, yet live worse than you do. Why should you two be able to outvote us when we have 98% of the population. We need to vote by head count not status
