Storyboard Text

  • Sunset Towers
  • I wonder who the murder is ??
  • Talk,talk,talk,
  • I am reading The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. The character I chose to find characterization on is turtle wexler. She is a small 13 year old girl that is adventurous, quiet and wondering.  The first mention of turtle is "Turtle Wexler, her kite tail of a braid flying behind her, raced her bike into the driveway"(Raskin 6)
  • A description of Turtle Wexler is that she is a small 13 year old girl.  She also has braids and she hates when other people touch her braids. Based on the text " Turtle Wexler looked every inch of the witch, her dark unbraided hair streaming wild in the wind from under her peaked hat" (Raskin 16). We know from this that she had dark hair and she wears a hat .  Also that Turtle Wexler can be scary because they used the word witch wit ha peaked hat and from this we cam infer that she wears black.
  • STOP IT
  • OUCH!!!
  • Turtles strongest personality trait is that she is curious and she wants to figure out who the murder is. Based on the text " Turtle turned to the page of the newspaper, but that was all. That was all?"(Raskin 20). Turtle is very curious on  the article of the death of Mr Sam Westing. She was wanting more evidence on how he died because she would get prize money.
  • WHo set the bombs off??
  • I did
  • In the begging of the book Turtle Wexler is very adventurous. She went into the westing house and went and saw the dead corpse. Based on the text "Turtle had seen the corpse in the westing house "(Raskin 17). She is adventrous because she went into a very old house and saw a dead man laying on the floor.
  • In the middle of the book turtle is still wondering who the murder is and she wants the prize money really badly, also she kicks others when they annoy her or touch her braids. Based on the text " oh sure the killer can't wait to hand over the clues that will hang him" (Raskin 46). Turtle is wondering and trying to figure out who the murder is to win the money.
  • In the end of the book the heirs are talking to see who set off the bombs and turtle admitted it was her even thought it was not her that set off the bombs. Based on the text"  I, Turtle Wexler confess to those 4 bombs"(Raskin 132). Turtle could of been covering someone up. Or she could of felt bad and did this. As we can see from the begging to the end turtle has changed in many ways .
