- I am about to show the the 5 processes of the nitrogen cycle
- N itrogen makes up for about 78% of the atmosphere
- NITROGEN FIXATION
- When nitrogen in the atmosphere falls to the earth and in the soil it finds its way to bacteria. At the root of a plant nitrogen mixes with hydrogen to make ammonia.

- This occurs in soils. During nitrification ammonia is converted into Nitrates which can be used by plants and animalss

- ASSIMILATION
- Plants absorbs the nitrates from the soil, this is when they get their nitrogen and gets used in amino acids
- AMMONIFICATION
- When plants or animals dies, decomposers turn the nitrogen back into ammonia so it can be in the nitrogen cycle again
- DENTRIFICATION
- Denitrification is when extra nitrogen returns back into the atmosphere
