Storyboard Text

  • "He needs not our mistrust, since he delivers Our offices and what we have to do To the direction just. (3.3.3-5).
  • "Hark, I hear horses." (3.3.11)
  • Neighhhhh
  • "A light, a light!" (3.3.20)
  • The two murders discover that Macbeth hired a third murder to kill Banquo and decide that they can trust him because he was given the same orders they were.
  • They plot about killing Banquo and if the time will be right and they decide it is because he will be walking up to the castle.
  • "Who did strike out the light?" (3.3.27)
  • "We have lost best half of our affair." (3.3.31-32)
  • Fleance and Banquo enter with a torch. The murders describe that it is raining and it will be good because it will hide them.
  • "Well, let's away and say how much is done." (3.3.33)
  • They stab and kill Banquo and Fleance escapes quickly.
  • O treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou mayst revenge- O slave!" (3.3.25-26)
  • The murders talk about who struck out the light. They notice that Fleance has escaped and that means that they lost half their pay.
  • The murders leave to go and tell Macbeth that the deed is done.
