Today was the night Jonas had to get away, but he couldn't leave Gabriel behind. He took him with, and there they were, seeing their city for the last time.
They were gone now. Nobody had seen them, but they would soon find out they were both missing. The road was unusual, not smooth, but bumpy. Jonas knew there was another environment near by.
Days passed, and the helicopters were still looking for Jonas and Gabriel. They could not see color, but he remembered they had radars that detected warmth from humans. Jonas gave himself and Gabriel the memory of snow until the helicopter was out of sight.
It had rained for two days now. Gabriel wasn't crying because of the rain, but because he was starving and cold.
Jonas and Gabriel reached the top of the mountain, after leaving their bike on the bottom. They then saw a blue sled and started their way down.
Jonas became hopeful when he saw a city with lights and heard music. He remembered it was the memory of the family sitting together with a fire, talking and laughing.
