  • The peasants in France weren't getting their basic needs met, while the upper class were living lavish lifestyles, and they were not being represented equally in their government.
  • The peasants in France were very violent to the point where they publicly executed their king with a guillotine
  • Methods
  • Their were government reforms, which meant an end to monarchy. they were also introduced to enlightenment ideas. However France was left unstable.

  • Haitian Revolution
  • Motives
  • The people of Haiti were fighting to end slavery because it was unfair and unjust.They lacked basic freedoms and rights, and they wanted them.
  • The Haitian Revolution was also very violent, and they had a very good leader Toussaint L'Ouverture. He was an incredible strategistand lead Haiti to victory against the French.
  • Methods
  • After the revolution there was an addition of abolition which was good, and it solved some of the problems caused by race. It also left them with a dictator. And they were now in extreme poverty.
