"Sixteen-year-old Steve Harmon is sitting on the edge of a metal cot next, head in hands. On the cot next to him are the suit and tie he is to wear to court for the start of his trial" (7 Meyers).
"Prisoners, handcuffed, coming from back of van. Steve is carrying a notebook. He is dressed in the suit and tie we saw on the cot. He is seen only briefly as he is herded through the heavy doors of the courthouse"(12 Myers).
Steve and King are in the same holding room waiting to go into the courtroom. While they have two guards watching them, while having breakfast from the other side of the room.
Sitting next to Steve is his lawyer, Kathy O'Brien and sitting next to King is his defense, Asa Briggs. Once everything is set they start the ruling.
