The Last Dog story

Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • "He didn't need to be told that his behavior was 'irregular.' He'd never head of anyone doing research outside of the dome."
  • Brock is a young man the lives inside of a dome. The outside world is toxic so nobody goes outside of the dome.
  • Ever since he'd said out loud in a group speak that he wanted to go outside the dome, people has treated him strangely-that session with the podmaster and then the interview with the representative from Research.
  • Conflict
  • Brock wants to go outside the dome. Nobody wants him to go outside of the dome.
  • Rising Action
  • The gate slid open. Before he was quite ready for it, Brock found himself outside the protection of the dome. He blinked.
  • Brock travels outside of the dome for scientific research.
  • Climax
  • Brock finds a puppy and its dead mother.
  • Falling Action
  • Brock brings the dog back to the dome and lives with her in a science lab, but he is worried that the scientists will do experiments on her.
  • Resolution
  • Brock pretends that the dog has rabies, so the scientists agree to let her back into the wild.
  • When Brock offered to take Brog out of the dome and let her loose in the mountains, no one argued.
  • And then he saw the small dog-the puppy. He was sure it was a puppy, noising the stiff body of what must once have been its mother, making little crying sounds that he'd heard from the brook.
  • But experiments! They'd cut her open and examine her internal organs, the way scientists had in the dark ages.
