  • Ethos
  • Pathos
  • Logos
  • "Hear me for my cause... that you may hear: believe me for mine honour, and have respect to mine honour...believe: censure me in your wisdom".  Ethos is shown because Brutus is asking the audience to trust his credibility.
  • "Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more".   This is an example of pathos because it provokes emotions for the Romans.
  • "...I have the same dagger for myself, when it shall please my country to need my death."  This is an example of logos because Brutus is showing the Romans that Caesar had to die, and if Brutus ever acts like Caesar did, he would rather be dead.
