Storyboard Text

  • The formula for finding volume is length x width x height. This is the same as filling an object with unit cubes.
  • So, you will have to find the length, width, and height of your pool to find the volume of it?!
  • That's absolutely right!
  • The height, or depth is 8 feet. Now we just have to multiply them!
  • The length of the pool is 5 feet.
  • The width is 2 feet!
  • Well...5 x 8 x 2 is 80 feet, so does that mean that the volume of the pool is 80 feet too?
  • Yes, Sylvie, you are correct!
  • Wow, I sure learned a lot today. Volume can be measured using unit cubes and the formula for it is length x width x height.
  • I learned a lot of new things as well! Thank you, Mrs. Sanchez!
  • Anytime! Now, I'm sure you'll pass your next test easily!
  • After a couple of days...
