  • Hi, my name is Veronica. I am a tourist, I came here to learn more about the Aztec religion.
  • My name is Vanessa. You should come into the museum you will learn a lot about Aztec religion and more.
  • SCENE 2
  • Religion played a huge role in the daily life of the Aztec people. The Aztec believed in a series of four suns. Aztec religion was polytheistic, they worshiped many gods that each represented a different part of the national world.
  • SCENE 3

  • The Aztecs practiced human sacrifice, they believed that the sun god needed sacrifices of human hearts to ensure that the sun rose each day. Some of the sacrificial victims were enslaved people. But most of them were war captives.
  • SCENE 4
  • Religious ceremonies were intended to please the gods to protect their civilization. Which is why they practiced human sacrifice.
