During the 6th century, groups of people began to settle across the Valley of Mexico
Over the years, they were able to make their own independent cities with their rulers
Rulers from each of the three cities would wonder how to expand their land.
Eventually, the three leaders of the tribes, Tlacopan, Texcoco, and Tenochtitlan joined alliances to defeat and conquer other lands to gain more power
Over time, the allied tribes were able to conquer many tribes. Among the three of them, Tenochtitlan was the strongest and was soon known to be the central power of the Aztec Empire.
Due to the combined power of the alliances, the emperor had became extremely powerful and rich across the land.
