Yes. Some scientist even believe mermaids are evolved apes. According to animal planet we can hold our breath longer than any other land animal and we have webbing between our fingers to help us swim.
In fact the idea of mermaids have been around for centuries. Christopher Columbus documented seeing a half human half fish near his boat.
Why does that matter?
Um...I think no.
If you would stop asking dumb questions, I would tell you! The ape evolution theory suggests that humans are better made for water than apes (our "ancestors").
This is because we have a more flexible spine, webbing between our fingers, more lung capacity, and a layer of fat that is thicker than any other land animal's.
A water bed! Ha ha ha.
So what do mermaids sleep on?
That was funny, but I know what you're thinking, they don't exist. Your current reality of them not existing and just a made up character in books, movies and TV shows isn't completely right, but it's not completely wrong either, considering that only 5% of the ocean has been discovered. NOAA even said no actual evidence has been found.
I guess, thanks for helping me understand.
Hahaha...in your dreams.
Ok, go ahead.
Is your name Ariel? Because we were mer-maid for each other.
