  • They rode a bus to terminal island then to Boyle heights in Los Angeles. However, a month later they were ordered to move to manzanar by the government.
  • The camp they were living in was very rough. Many people living there were suffering from illnesses.
  • Some of the Wakatsuki family members
  • People in the camp were starting an event called the December Riot, it breaks out when three men arrested for beating a man suspected of helping the U.S Government.
  • The Watsusakis moved again, and this time to a housing project in Long Beach called Cabrillo Homes. Jeanne meets new people and becomes close with a girl named Radine.
  • In April 1972, Jeanne visits the Manzanar camp with a family of her own. She got to see her daughter that her life began at the camp that her fathers ended.This trip helped her understand her life better.
