Storyboard Text

  • Exposition 
  • Your son will grow up and kill you and marry your wife. 
  • yes, I agree. 
  • Go, take our baby and kill it by throwing it to the river. 
  • Conflict 
  • A few years later...
  • you're adopted and your parents aren't your real parents. 
  • Rising Action 
  • Oh no!!! I should escape from this crazy man. 
  • Oedipus kills the King (his real father) 
  • The Kind and Queen of Thebes were told that their son would grow up and kill the King and marry the Queen. So to prevent this, they stabbed the babies feet and sent someone out to throw him in the river so that he can die. But, the servant felt bad and left the baby aside. Later, a shepherd walked by and took the baby as a gift to the King and Queen of Corinth.  
  • Climax 
  • Someone killed my husband, do you want to be King?
  • I am the new King, I will have 4 kids with you. 
  • A few years later, Oedipus grew up, he was at a bar when his best friend told him that he was adopted. Oedipus was curious and went to seek the Oracle for answers. The Oracle told him that he would soon kill his father and marry his mother. He protected his parents by leaving Cornith and going to Thebes.
  • Falling Action 
  • I know you killed the King, I was there. 
  • On his way, he stumbled across an old man and his servants. This old man which was the King of Thebes made Oedipus mad. Oedipus got angry and furious so he killed them all except for 1 servant who survived while seeing all the catastrophe. 
  • Resolution 
  • Oedipus continued and defeated the Sphinx. His reward was to be the new King of Thebes(since he was the one who killed the KIng) and marry the Queen which was his mother. He later had 4 children with her. 
  • The Queen later found out the real situation as a puzzle and felt terrible for marrying her son and having kids with him so wheb Oedipus got back home from talking to a victim he found her dead. She had hung herself before he got home to kill her for hiding this information. 
  • Oedipus was in so much shock and panic that he grabbed a knife nearby and gauged his eyes out, leading him to become blind. He later left Thebes with his two daughters and leaving behind in the Kingdom his two sons to continue ruling.
