  • The RavenBy: Edgar Allan Poe
  • Conflict: The man is having a hard time because he is grieving the loss of his wife Lenore. He was very depressed and broken.
  • "I pondered weak and weary. Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore"
  • Rising action: Suddenly, there is a tapping sound on the mans window. He took a look and noticed a raven appeared.
  • "Open here I flung the shutter, when, many a flirt and flutter, in there stepped a stately Raven of the stately days of yore."
  • NEVERMORE
  • Climax: The Raven enters and the man asks the raven a question. He asks the raven if he will see his wife Lenore and the raven says,"nevermore".
  • Falling action: The man gets enraged and wanted the raven to flee immediately.
  • "Leave my loneliness unbroken! quit the bust above my door! take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door."
  • Resolution: The raven did not leave and the man goes back to being in the state of grief and sadness.
