  • Media have tremendous power in setting cultural guidelines and in shaping political discourse. It is essential that news media, along with other institutions, are challenged to be fair and accurate. The first step in challenging biased news coverage is documenting bias.-
  • 3 Questions used in a survey
  • 6 out of 10 of the people interviewed look into the news stories sources so they know what the truth is. All people interviewed believe that some if not all of the stories they read or see are based on a stereotypical level. 7 out of the 10 people interviewed believe that the headlines of stories they have read do match up with the stories given while the other 3 believe that some stories they have seen or read were made to lure in viewers from the other political side.
  • Possible solutions
  • Watch or listen to more than one channel for news because though one channel may share a story another may show another side to the same story
