Two migrant workers, George and Lennie, travel to a ranch to find work because at their old job, Lennie touched a girls dress and they had to leave their workplace.
Lennie has a disability which makes him act like a child, often getting him and George into trouble.
Lennie and George get to their workplace where they a=make friends and an enemy.
Lennie was in the barn when Curly's wife came in, she offered for him to touch her hair. He started pulling a little too hard and then she started screaming. To make her be quiet, he put his hand over her mouth, He ended up picking her up and accidentally snapping her neck.
Lennie was told by George that if he ever got into trouble, he should go hide in the brush, so after the incident with Curley's wife, that's what he did.
Curley and his "gang" wanted to go after Lennie for what he did to Curley's wife. George said he would never let anyone hurt Lennie, and that's what he did. He knew eventually Curly was going to catch up to Lennie, and when they did, they were going to kill him, so he made the tough decision to kill him himself. He found Lennie comforted him, told him things to make him happy, and ended his life.
