  • The apartheid was a law established in 1948 that put racial segregation in place. The law was used to protect the domination of white South Africans over non-whites. Blacks and whites were seperate from every type of facility and were not even allowed to get married. The classified racial groups were colored, black, white, and indian. The blacks were treated unfairly being given small, overcrowded homelands, and given no political rights. This all ended in 1994 when Nelson Mandela was elected as president. He led his protests with Oliver Tambo and Walter Sisulu.

  • They are very little amounst of water in certain parts of Africa. The water that they do have can be filled with parasites and diseases. Women have to walk over an hour to get the water and then walk back home with the 40-pound jugs of water on their backs. Some have to carry three jugs and a infant. To clean the water is to expensive for the fuel with boiling it. One in three people globally don't have toilet because there isn't enough water. Politicions don't want to talk about people doing there business so it isn't discussed much. Girls are more vulnerable to harassment when using the bathroom outside. The girls need toilets to manage their periods.

  • In 1994 almost 800,000 people were killed in Rwanda when ther Tutsi's were attacked my the Hutu's. The Hutu's were 85 percent of the country but the Tutsi's had alway controlled the country. On April 6, 1994, President Juvenal Habyarimana and Cyprien Ntaryamira were shot down in a plane(both Hutu's). This caused an outbreak and the whole genocide but till this day no one knows who shot the plane. Tutsi's were killed and slaughtered. People would classify the Tutsi's as tall and long necks so if you had those descriptions you were immediately killed. France and the UN were accused of not helping in this situation. The genocide ended in July of 1994 but will always be remembered as a terrofying moment that shall not be discussed in Tutsi history.
