  • at the age of 5, De la Salle frequently visits his granparents' home on the countryside where he gained interest about saints through the stories of his grandmother 
  • at the of 19, De la Salle attended seminary and enrolled in Sorbonne University where he meets Nicolas Roland

  • During De la Salle's stay in Sulpice, Paris, his family faced a crisis where his mother passed away. months later, the death of his father followed
  • at the age of 27, De la Salle built the first school for the poor children with the help of Adrian Nyel, as a zealous school master
  • Stage 3: Productive Life
  • Stage 6: Transforming Union
  • De la Salle faced a great test, the survival of the school without tuition has become the source of anxiety. to solve this problem, SJBDLS sold his possessions to support the school
  • Stage 4: The inner journey
  • during a retreat, de la Salle, together with 8 brothers, made a heroic vow to God and to each other to keep the society alive
  • Stage 5: The Journey Outward
  • In 1976, De la Salle resigns as a superior and devotes himself to teaching
