Storyboard Text

  • Mexico City was heavily populated with 46.2% of citizens being in poverty.  My parents decided to join the movement- the wave of immigrants from Mexico coming to America at this time, Immigrating to America was the best choice for me and my brothers future.
  • I have my diploma- but I'm still unable to get a job in America due to my citizen ship status- I'm not accepted, though I came here as an infant. and the United States is all I know
  • Not being able to get a job-I can't even help my mother pay rent, I fell like I've disappointed her.
  • Though having a rough child hood with my own mother having been deported  for a period of time when I was young, I still was determined and I graduated high school.
  • I wont ever be able to pursue the dream I've had because I'm not accepted by any colleges due to citizenship and what I suspect to be racism due to my heritage not matching the cultural landscape of Houston.
  • I feel that I'm out of options, whats left to do- I don't know.
