  • The Romans, attracted by Great Britain's rich agricolture, tin, lead, slaves and strategic position, invaded the land that corresponds to today's England and Wales in 43 AD
  • Due to Barbaric invasions, they had to withdraw their legions in 409 AD
  • They broght their culture, with latin and Christianity
  • They built and developed towns, like Londinium, that became administrative and trading centres
  • They did several public works, such as paved roads and acqueducts
  • The roman invasion was mainly militar, so the jobs remained the same, as the population (not a lot of romans moved in England).
