Storyboard Text

  • Dr. Mays thank you for joining in our study. Maybe we should look at some narrative inquiry models for a larger group of our students to get an even better picture of their experience.
  • Principal Brown, we have many options -ways to illustrate each individual student's experiences would be a great option for this type of work.
  • What are some things to keep in mind when trying to take on a larger group then a few students?
  • It is not necessary to take on a very large group. You need one that is representative, but not too large.
  • One important aspect of the process is being sure students are using every part of what they know to tell the story, they need to trust that you want truthful answers.
  • Hm. How am I going to do that?
  • We believe you need to conduct some work with your teachers on building relationships with students in a more productive way.
  • You are probably right, that would be a good starting point with all of these situations.
  • I think I need to set up some times for student input to generate ideas that seem valuable to them as well as giving teachers the same experiences.
  • Principal Brown, remember that these next steps should be research based practices to give you the best opportunity for results. I think you are on the right track!
