Theodora was a girl who lives in Sparta, Greek. Only children who were males could have the opportunity to receive education in here. Women were responsible for taking care of all the housework and other chores. Man and women were treated differently in this country. Theodora longed for education and new knowledge like her brother. She wanted to break this traditional rule at one day.
She had successes from escaping from her house and finally got into the school. No one had ever noticed anything strange about her because of her perfect hiding except her brother. His brother was very mad at her and forcing her to go back home. Without even thinking about it, Theodora refused him and ran away from him. Then, she found a place to rest and quickly fell asleep.
When Theodora woke up, and the school was on fire. The whole town spread with smoke and sounds of screaming. Theodora was freaking out when she saw this scene. The army commander commanded that each house should provide at least one solider to attend the war. While Theodora’s brother was hesitating and afraid to face this dilemma, Theodora had gone and joined the army.
