Mr White wakes up asking where mother is and asks her to come back to bed. There is soft sad music being played and it's shot in a medium frame.
Mrs. White gets up from the bed and begins to cry explaining to her husband how much she misses him. Soft music plays in the background as the camera moves in toward Mrs. Whites face.
Mrs. White then erupts with anger blaming Mr. White of their son's death and ordering him to retrieve the Monkey's paw and wish Herbert alive. At this point the camera zooms out to see the bewilderment of Mr White's face as he leaves to fetch the paw. Dramatic music follows him out of the room.
Mrs. White yells for him to wish repeatedly and Mr. White wishes his son was alive. The camera zooms to the front door handle but nothing happens. The music went to rushed sounds to calm and sad winds.
Once both of the White's realize Herbert's not coming back they collapse on the floor emotionally exhausted. They sit in silence until they hear the door knob twist. The camera has now zoomed to the door knob.
The door then slams open and from the pitch darkness of the night Herbert walks in. His parents exclaim. Mrs. White, so happy to see her son and Mr. White terrified of the price of his latest wish and how could he once in for all get rid of the Monkey's Paw.Dramatic music plays as the camera zooms on Mr. White's face.
