  • Meeting of the Estates general

  • The 1st and 2nd estate didn't want to pay for taxes and the 3rd estate was trying to all say that it was not fair that they had too and it created a financial crisis. They all voted and they all voted by order as 1 group in the estates and the 3rd estate was was over ruled. This shows that the people of the 3rd estate was moving away from democracy because they didn't get to vote by heads.

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd estate went to have another national assembly and once the 3rd estate got inside they all locked the doors and snuck themselves into the tennis courts. The 3rd estate wanted pledged that they would not leave unless they all went to National assembly and voted by head, and everyone wanted it to be a constitution of 1791 instead of a monarchy. They are all sticking together to in France to move closer to democracy.

  • On July 14,1789 people in Paris seized spotlight from the National assembly, There were over 800 Parisians who assembled outside the Bastille prison, and when they asked for gun powder and got rejected they revolted and started to raid the prison and then they killed the commander and created a revolution. They were moving toward democracy.

  • lots of women marched to Versailles because they were not getting enough food to eat and wanted to get bread from the empire, The king promised to give them food if they left and they said they were not leaving in tell they got the food. They all are moving toward creating a democracy and it is causing the women to fight back because they didn't get enough food.

  • Robespierre came in charge of the people and wanted to cut off everyone head that would talk about the king or If he didn't like you. It was becoming a democracy and people were now republic and not controlled, so they created a guillotine to chop off the heads of the people. They got rid of Robespierre because he killed over 40,000 people.
  • I wasn't the one talking about the king!!
  • Napoleon was born in Corsica, small island off of Italy. He became a emperor to France and wanted to have lots of power. He had lots of military success's with taking over countries that don't want to be allies. Napoleon also believed that people shall be able to have there own religion, and he also reformed by giving peace to the people, and controlled food prices to be equal to everyone, etc. Napoleon also kept it as a republic so that it can become a democracy.
