John Calvin was born in Noyon, France July 10 1509. He played a very important role in the Catholic Counter Reformation.
He studied theology as teen but later his dad made him study law.
A little while later in his life he made a conversion from Roman Catholic to Protestant. He thought that was God's will.
He then started to rebel against the catholic church. He wrote what was wrong about the Roman Catholic church which is known as a Institutions of the Christians Religion.
He went to Geneva to try to support Protestantism priests, he failed then traveled to Strasbourg.
He died in 1564 when he was 54 from health problems.
