- Im about to start junior year at school and recently got inspired to start wearing the hijab full time!
- Hi! Im Amal and I am an Australian Palestinian girl currently living in Melbourne.
- Here I will be taking you along side of my journey!
- Obviously wearing the hijab now I face with criticism, judgement, and comments from classmates, neighbour's, strangers etc.
- What is on her head...
- But its okay! There are other people who care and make you feel accepted.
- Hey its okay! Just ignore them they aren't worth being sad over.
- Some strategies that I do to help when Im feeling down from the comments I get are: 1. distracting myself2. working out in the gym3. taking a nap or make myself some food!
- In the end I have my family and close friends as my support network for when I need to talk!
