  • He was an anti-apartheid activist. The apartheid was a system in South Africa of segregation and discrimination on grounds of race.

  • There are many parallels between Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. They both vocally spoke out against racism and are seen positively as activists. They both spoke out for what they believed in.
  • Both went through many struggles. Their fight for equality meant going against corrupt laws. They both had went to jail and received punishments. They fought through and continued their work towards equality.
  • One of the things Nelson Mandela is most famous for is the Rivonia Trial. This trial is known as the "trial that changed South Africa." He made a speech condemning the court and the Arpatheid, opening ideas to a lot of people.
  • Martin Luther King Jr may be best known for his "I Have A Dream speech." It showed a lot of people his views and inspire many others. He and Nelson Mandela both spoke out, which ere major steps in desegregation and true freedom. for everyone.
  • Today, people of all skin color can talk and be in the same area.
  • Many good changes have been made after Nelson Mandela's anti-apartheid views and Martin Luther King Jr's fight for equality. There are of course still problems, but more people need to see these revolutionary opinions and make something out of it.
