  • How infamous was the Bastille?

  • Was the riot on the Bastille planned beforehand?
  • We take the side of the revolution!
  • The next day, an aide approaches the king to inform him of the fall of the Bastille. This event is known as the catalyst that started the revolution. Today the French celebrate Bastille Day every year to commemorate their freedom.
  • Is it a revolt?
  • No, sir, it is a revolution.
  • Would the revolution still have succeeded without the march on the Bastille?
