Storyboard Text

  • Wow, look at all these rocks on this mountain.
  • Maybe I will see one of these rocks later in my life. Deposition can carry these rocks anywhere.
  • Man, it would be impossible so see one of these rocks again.  They can't move  or walk
  • No its not, Deposition can carry rocks anywhere in water. It can go from a river to a piece of sand on a beach
  • Ok but...what if they're are no water near any rocks like right now.
  • Well in that case, erosion could carry some of the rocks to a nearby river or stream
  • Micheal is telling us what deposition does. It can carry rocks in rivers and streams.
  • Wow, maybe after all these rocks can be carried anywhere.
  • Yes indeed, rocks can turn into a tiny little piece of sand on the beach or even a rock sitting in your backyard.
  • Jerry is now asking Michael a lot of questions about Deposition.
  • I never knew the earth can do so much to just carry rocks.
  • Yeah, the earth can do so much.I hope you know erosion and deposition are not the only ways  rocks can travel. There is also weathering.  That can change the shape of big and small rocks over time.
  • Jerry is asking Michael that if they are no rivers  near rocks how can the rocks get to other places.
  • Jerry, Jerry, Jerry, you have to come see this!
  • Wow, you were right. That rock we saw at the construction site is right here in front of us.
  • Jerry now realizes that the earth has so many abilities that it can do almost anything to landforms or objects.
  • Michael is telling Jerry that there are many other ways that the earth can rocks like weathering.
  • Jerry and Michael are looking at the rock in their backyard that was at the Construction site.
