  • The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773 in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • The primary cause of the Boston Tea Party was because colonists didn't wanna pay taxes for another country.
  • The Sons of Liberty was involved which was led by Samuel Adams.
  • On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty dressed themselves up as Native Americans and warriors and they dumped 340 chests of tea.
  • The immediate outcome was that the Port of Boston was closed. The long term outcome was that the colonists no longer had to pay taxes on tea but the Boston Tea Party was a big reason for the American Revolution.
