Storyboard Text

  • Hello! I am the Cell and here I am getting named by an English man by the name of Robert Hooke.
  • I was just sent a letter and it stated that weird things were under the microscope. I checked it out and decided to name it, "the Cell."
  • Wow I just discovered the nucleolus of the cell!
  • As we continue a man named Robert Brown found my nucleus, where DNA can be found.
  • Here Theodor Schwann says cells are in animals.
  • Wow, that cat must have cells. If the cat has cells so do dogs and such. Maybe every animal has cells.
  • I remember hearing Schwann's idea and it makes me think plants have cells too.
  • Ah, the discovery of cells in plants, by Matthias Schleiden
  • Cells come from other cells
  • In an argument, Rudolf Virchow said that cells come from other cells. And boy, he was right.
  • Nuh uh, they just appear.
  • In the end, we discovered that all All organisms are composed of one or more cells, cells are the basic unit of structure and function, and cells come from preexisting cells.
