  • Creating Uncertainty
  • Tense Situations
  • Cliffhangers
  • This scene shows the way they created uncertainty. At the beginning of the clip, a girl walks up to the bus stop with weird looking eyes almost like a fish. This creates questions like: Why is the girl looking like that? This is an example of creating uncertainty because there is barely any talking at all in the movie and we just jump into the first part of the movie not expecting what will be going on so we have a bunch of questions.
  • Foreshadowing
  • This is an example on a tense situation. There are a pair of glowing eyes on a shadowy figure coming towards them. This creates a tense atmosphere and suspense for the viewer. This is an example of a tense situation because before in the movie there was a mention of some aliens that came to earth and a pair of glowing eyes suddenly pop out in the darkness.
  • Mood
  • In this scene it leaves us with a cliffhanger. At the ending, It leaves us with questions like: Where did the alien go? and What is the alien going to do? This is a cliffhanger because it leaves us wanting to know what is going to happen next.
  • In this scene, foreshadowing will be used. The camera keeps panning to the dark road foreshadowing that something is going to come from the road. This is an example of foreshadowing because when the camera keeps going to the road we can anticipate that something is going to happen and probably from the dark road
  • Throughout the movie the mood is set to be dark and mysterious. The setting is dark and eerie which sets a scary mood and the music also creates a dark and mysterious mood. This is an example of mood because the lighting of every scene and the music they use in the background makes the watcher feel like something is going to pop up at them. This is what creates suspense.
