  •  ressults of the stamp act.–Organized protests began. –Tax collectorswere tarred and feathered.  The Stamp actwill get repealed.  –Red coatswill be brought to the city of Boston to calm down.
  • required colonists to pay for a stamp on all paper items –Newspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, broadsides, legal documents.
  • result of this act- –Colonists became furious as they lost all independence from King George III.
  • the declaratory act of 1766 this stated that parliment had the power to make laws in all cases whatsoever.
  • townshend act of 1767–This act put a direct tax on glass, paper, paint, lead, tea
  • the results of this act, –More organized protests by colonists as well as resolutions passed in colonial governments against Parliament’s right to tax the colonists. –Colonists from all 13 colonies will go to Boston to protest this act.
